The District Administration Office, Dhanusha, has imposed an indefinite curfew within the Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City following escalating protests.
The curfew came into effect at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and will remain in force until further notice.
Dhanusha Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel said the curfew has been imposed across all areas of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City, as well as in designated areas of Laxminiya Rural Municipality and Nagarain Municipality.
