Bidsbazar launches pre-owned auction marketplace in Nepal

Kathmandu, October 6

Bidsbazar, a brand of Darshika Ecommerce Pvt. Ltd., has launched as a pre-owned auction marketplace, offering a structured digital platform for buying and selling second-hand and resale goods.

The platform was officially launched at Dees Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu. It connects individual sellers, households, resellers, small traders, collectors and second-hand shoppers through a digital marketplace.

According to the company, eligible listings offer buyers three purchasing options: direct purchase at the displayed price, bargaining within applicable rules and timeframes, and bidding in an active auction.

Sellers can choose the selling method appropriate for their listings and, where applicable, set minimum acceptable prices. The platform also targets businesses and eligible sellers seeking to sell resale, surplus and stock-clearance inventory.

Bidsbazar said it has introduced user verification and account controls, seller ratings, activity monitoring, reporting and support mechanisms to promote trust and reduce scams, fake inquiries and suspicious activity.

The platform also features a Seller Points and Tier system under which successful sales contribute to sellers’ points and progression through different tiers. Higher tiers provide access to different platform benefits and a larger share of the applicable Variable Pool.

Bidsbazar said it acts as a technology facilitator rather than buying, selling or owning products listed on the platform.
