KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the final squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 series, scheduled to be held in Scotland this June.
Head coach Stewart Law made the announcement on Saturday, finalizing the 15-member team from a pool of 25 players who participated in the second phase of the ‘Core Camp.’
The team will be led by captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, while Dipendra Singh Airee has been appointed as the vice-captain.
The squad also includes key players like Gulshan Jha, Asif Sheikh, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Kushal Bhurtel, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Anil Kumar Sah, Sandeep Lamichhane, Bhim Sharki, Arif Sheikh, Basir Ahmed, Nandan Yadav, and Rijan Dhakal.
Additionally, Kiran Thagunna, Lokesh Bam, and Rupesh Singh have been named as reserve players for the series. Before heading to Scotland, the Nepalese team will travel to the United Kingdom for a training session and a series of practice matches to prepare for the tournament.
