Kathmandu, August 27
Electricity services have resumed in Battar and Trishuli Bazaar areas of Nuwakot following disruptions caused by the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River.
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) restored power supply through an alternative arrangement by charging the Balaju-Trishuli and Chapali-Devighat 66 kV transmission lines at 11 kV, bringing electricity back to the affected areas.
The regular electricity supply system was damaged by the flood, prompting the authority to use available transmission infrastructure through an alternative arrangement to restore power to affected communities.
Following the arrangement, electricity supply has resumed in Battar, Trishuli Bazaar and surrounding areas.
The NEA said it is accelerating repair and restoration work on electricity infrastructure damaged by the flood and continuing efforts to restore regular power supply across all affected areas.
