KAVREPALANCHOK: Heavy rainfall on Monday afternoon swept away diversions along the BP Highway in Kavrepalanchok, causing major disruptions in transportation.
The flooding has left the highway completely blocked, with vehicles stranded at multiple points.
A diversion near Mamtikhola, located between Wards 11 and 12 of Roshi Rural Municipality, was washed away.
The collapse of the diversion halted traffic along the BP Highway, forcing authorities to stop vehicles coming from the east at Khurkot and Nepaltar.
Meanwhile, an electric vehicle (EV) van remains stuck in the Bhakure River at Taladhunga in Ward No. 11 of Roshi Rural Municipality.
Efforts are ongoing to assess the damage and clear the highway for resumed traffic flow.
Authorities have urged travelers to remain cautious and follow safety instructions as the weather continues to pose risks.
