NRB sets foreign exchange rates for Sunday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the official foreign exchange rates applicable for Sunday. As per the latest update, the buying rate for the US dollar is set at NPR 136.30, while the selling rate stands at NPR 136.90.

For the euro, the bank has fixed the buying rate at NPR 153.39 and the selling rate at NPR 154.07. The pound sterling is being bought at NPR 180.97 and sold at NPR 181.77. Likewise, the Swiss franc is priced at NPR 164.09 for buying and NPR 164.81 for selling.

The Australian dollar is available at NPR 87.27 (buying) and NPR 87.66 (selling), and the Canadian dollar is set at NPR 97.94 and NPR 98.38 respectively. The exchange rate for the Singapore dollar stands at NPR 105.05 for buying and NPR 105.51 for selling.

The rate for 10 Japanese yen is fixed at NPR 9.39 (buying) and NPR 9.43 (selling), while the Chinese yuan is set at NPR 18.82 and NPR 18.91 respectively. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at NPR 36.34 and sold at NPR 36.50, while the Qatari riyal is traded at NPR 37.39 (buying) and NPR 37.56 (selling).

According to the central bank, the buying and selling rates for one Thai baht are NPR 4.13 and NPR 4.15 respectively. The UAE dirham stands at NPR 37.11 (buying) and NPR 37.27 (selling), while the Malaysian ringgit is set at NPR 31.72 and NPR 31.86.

The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is NPR 9.74, and the selling rate is NPR 9.78. The Swedish kronor is being exchanged at NPR 14.05 (buying) and NPR 14.11 (selling), and the Danish kronor at NPR 20.56 and NPR 20.65.

NRB has also listed the Hong Kong dollar at NPR 17.52 (buying) and NPR 17.60 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is priced at NPR 444.35 for buying and NPR 444.31 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar is set at NPR 361.52 (buying) and NPR 363.11 (selling). The Omani rial is traded at NPR 354.05 (buying) and NPR 355.61 (selling).

Additionally, the rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
