KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has lifted the ban on cricketer Mohammad Aadil Alam, who was previously suspended on charges of spot-fixing.
Alam was accused of spot-fixing during the Nepal T20 Cricket League held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur in Mangsir 2079 (December 2022).
Following the allegations, he was banned from participating in both national and international cricket events. After CAN’s Integrity Committee completed the necessary procedures and recommended lifting the suspension, CAN decided to revoke the ban effective from Baisakh 21, 2082 (May 4, 2025).
With this decision, Alam will now be eligible to participate again in both national and international cricket tournaments.
