UML holds discussions on provincial policy and program and budget

KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN (UML) has held discussions with provincial assembly members on the provincial government’s policy and program and budget preparation for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.

Holding a ‘virtual’ meeting from the UML central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, the party held discussions with the provincial government’s Chief Minister, Minister and provincial assembly members on the preparation of the provincial policy and program and budget.

In the meeting, party Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel shared the approached adopted by the central government and the issues that the provinces should pay attention to while preparing the new fiscal year budget.

In the meeting, party General Secretary Shankar Pokharel directed to make the policy and program and budget people-oriented.

The leaders of the CPN-UML provincial assembly parties and chief ministers of all seven provinces expressed their views in the discussion.
