United School opens two KUMON labs with 100 tablets

Kathmandu, September 16

United School has inaugurated two new KUMON Labs equipped with 100 tablets, as part of its push toward technology-enabled mathematics education.

KUMON, a globally recognised mathematics learning programme, currently supports close to 700 students from grades 2 to 4 at the school.

The labs were inaugurated on Tuesday in the presence of United School Founder Director Nara Hang Rai, Principal Manoj Bishwokarma, KUMON Japan representative Yusuke Yoshiwaka, and Bikash Lama, CEO of IGC Business Holding, KUMON’s official partner in Nepal, along with school staff, teachers and students.

The two labs pair KUMON’s established teaching methodology with digital tools, aiming to make math learning more interactive while letting students progress individually at their own pace. The school says the setup is meant to build not just mathematical skills but also concentration, accuracy, confidence and independent learning habits.
