Yango driver arrested after video of passenger abuse goes viral

Kathmandu, March 17

A driver associated with the online ride-sharing app ‘Yango’ has been arrested on charges of abusing a passenger.

A team from the Crime Investigation Office arrested 43-year-old Kumar Shrestha. A few days ago, he had a dispute with a female passenger during which he allegedly used abusive language and verbally insulted her.

Police took him into custody after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
