Apple to replace foldable iPhones after screen issues

Kathmandu, October 27

Apple will replace its foldable smartphone, the “iPhone Duo,” after screen problems appeared within days of going on sale.

The long-awaited smartphone is being seen as the biggest change to the iPhone’s design in about 20 years.

Photos showing screen problems on the foldable phone, which costs about Rs 300,000, have surfaced on social media. The photos show streaks on the screen of Apple’s first foldable phone.

Some Duo users have posted online photos showing a crack in the middle of the screen, along the fold. Some customers have also complained that the phone makes a creaking sound when opened.

Apple has asked iPhone customers with such problems to contact the company for a replacement.

The iPhone Duo was launched with great fanfare at Apple Stores worldwide last week, and crowds of customers lined up to buy the phone. With this phone, the company is trying to restore the popularity of its products and challenge rival companies’ foldable phones.
