The House of Representatives is moving forward with the concept of a digital Parliament. The issue was discussed at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee on Tuesday.
The meeting, held at the Business Advisory Hall in Singha Durbar, focused on matters related to developing a digital Parliament system.
The proposed system seeks to digitally connect issues raised by lawmakers during the zero hour, special hour and emergency hour with the concerned ministries and government agencies.
The meeting also discussed developing a system to track how the government responds to issues raised by lawmakers, including what decisions have been made, the progress achieved and when the issues were addressed.
According to Prakash Chandra Pariyar, chief whip of the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party, the Business Advisory Committee is holding discussions focused specifically on the concept of a digital Parliament. The discussions are ongoing, he said.
