Six power transmission lines have been disrupted following the devastating Rasuwa floods, according to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The floods completely destroyed the 220 kV Trishuli 3B Hub Substation, while damage to transmission infrastructure has disrupted power flow across several lines.
The affected transmission lines include:
The NEA said some other transmission towers have also sustained damage.
The authority is working to restore electricity through alternative arrangements wherever possible.
Electricity supply has already been restored in the Samundratar area toward Sindhupalchok, while efforts are underway to bring the Chaughoda substation back into operation.
Similarly, the NEA is working to restore electricity supply to areas between Gajuri and Galchhi through the Dhadingbesi substation.
